another dinner party today.

suprisingly, doctors can be quite charismatic too.

dad threw this going away party thing for his colleagues cause 2 of them were leaving for melbourne.

and all the grown ups were squashed up in the dinner table and my dad's colleague came late. and he had already eaten. so he was just hanging around the bar talking to my mom.

me: *walks past trying to not to spill water out of the jug..*
mom: ah. yes, you remember anjali? the younger one.
him: *stares* quite big to be the younger one..working already?
me: um.. no. i'm in j2.
him: oh. but your sister?
me: is working.
him: the age gap between you two is quite little right? 2 years? or was it 3?
me: ..9
him: 9!
me: 9.
him: so which jc are you in now? raffles?
me: um.. yeah. how did you know?
him: where else would kuperan's daughters go?

he's more interesting than the rest.. maybe cause he used to be from ac, and wasn't the typical hwachoo.

hmph.

but it's the whole thing of how people are so cool and interesting when you meet them and then after a while the conversation dies and you have nothing else to say and everything's gone.

so just hung around and talked about stuff, me basically complaining abuot everything. amazing what a whiner i am. complaining to complete strangers for an hour.

and my dad's other colleague. who was leaving for melbourne. who had no one to talk to and was all by herself. and i was feeling sorry for her.

and my dad was the only one who talked to her. and mom 's jealous. oh well.
