ahem.

just posts here are sparse and let's just face it.. i've probably lost that blogger touch of mine..

i'm leaving tomorrow.
so today will be my last proper day here.
well here meaning singapore.

i'll be at terminal 1 at changi at 9pm for all of you guys asking.

i'll be at home packing for the rest of the day so you can always drop in for some breakfast and give me a hug before i leave.

and i haven't started packing yet.

half waiting for abby to come over and like save me.

i seriously need to grow up.. physically the cellulite is showing.. but mentally i'm way off.

gah i hate the cold.
and now that i'm leaving singapore seems so nice.. and warm and sunny and.. well, comfortable.

teaching at my old school was a totally weird experience..

especially since i realise that some of the prc students are only like a year younger than me..

highlights..

i've never bothered to write "miss" in front of my name and stuff.. given my acne-fied cheeks people should assume i'm too young to be married.. so i usually just go as "ms"

first day of school.. teaching a sec 2 class..

student #1: eh.. teacher.. are you married?
me: ... why do you think i'm married..
student #1: cause you go as "ms" not "miss"
me: hm.. well do you think i'm married?
student #2: nooo...
me: and why is that? (convinced that even my 14 year old students sense that i, for some sad reason am totally unattractive to the male species..)
student #2: cause you don't wear a ring..
me: hmm.. yeah..
student #3: eh.. teacher so do you have a boyfriend?
me: (so maybe they don't think i'm such a loser after all..) er.. no.
student #4: aiyah you so old already.. you don't have one..
me: ... how old do you think i am?
student #5: twenty......
me: close..
student #5: six.
me: whaaat?
student #5: you're twenty six.
me: *Stares*
student #6: no..? ok.. then.. twenty eight.

when i was teaching them i was still 18.

and then yiting was listening in on her students gossiping about us teachers.. and they were like giving each of us titles and stuff..

i apparently have "the weirdest dress sense".. for wearing nikes with everything.. which i know is sad.. but hey i need to like climb up 5 flights of stairs to teach one class for half an hour.. scramble down 4 flights for another class.. and up 4 flights again.. which is terrible since it's the rotunda.. this long spiral staircase that looks pretty but seriously kills you when people like me are programmed to take two steps at a time..

which is bloody hard in a skirt..

but at least i wasn't named the one with the *worst* dress sense.

unfortunately that went to someone else.
gah so what have i been doing with the past 9 months of my life..

hmm..

i worked as ..

a salesperson..
a literature teacher..
a history teacher..
a mentor to like sec 5 kids..
a house officer at the general surgery department at a hospital.. (well i masqueraded as a house officer..)
and i worked at the vaccination clinic a bit too..

hmm and spent lots of time in my room pondering what i should do with my life..

crap.. i sound dead boring..

anusha and i met up after two years to go meet mrs hariram before we fly off.. it was nice to see that some things don't change.. and anusha is dead good looking.. she should be a model..

and msn is screwing up.. i can never talk to jeanne..
...i'm back

after like.. 10 months..

i've had this blog for like 5 years.. why give it up?

ugh.. it feels so weird to start blogging again..
